I find Pearcea hispidissima to be a bit challenging. It bears stunningly patterned foliage, but can be temptermental to get it growing and keep it looking at its best. I have not yet bloomed it - several times it has reached that stage only to have them blast before opening.
Definitely an item for the collector of the unusual. Matures at about 10-14" tall. The more or less erect stems branch basally, rooting as they go, and are covered with velvet-like hairs.
