Begonia metachroa

Begonia metachroa is one of the most iridescent plants I've grown. It's not as "blue" as B. pavonina, yet it has the most amazing iridescence - a sheen which is very attractively complimented by its red stems and undersides! Truly a winner that's well worth growing.

As this plant's leaves are somewhat thin-tissued so keep in mind it may not do well without sufficient humidity.

Note: This plant is VERY photosensitive - growing at a relatively low light level produces dark and healthy foliage color. Too much light will cause the leaf color to "bronze-out", or become dull and reddish.

These are husky plants, currently in 3" pots.
