Mountain Orchids

Begonia 'Candy Stripes'

This is a very attractive plant obtained out of Japan. Despite the rhizomatous growth habit this plant exhibits, its leaf coloration sure makes me wonder if B. brevirimosa might somehow been a parent.   Its' appearance most likely suggests: (brevirimosa X iridescens).

Young plants' leaves tend to be lighter - each new leaf becoming more intensely colored as the plant develops.

Sturdy young plants, currently in 2 1/2" pots.

Seems easy.
