Comparettia is a genus of twig-epiphytes - they tend to be found clinging to semi shaded spots on thin branches, usually near outer extremities of trees and shrubs. They prefer good reliable humidity (minimal to non-existing pseudobulbs). while the foliage isn't much to look at, the flowers on all the species surely make up for it. In this species' case, they are a bright orange, an inch or so in diameter and are presented as a cascade on wiry inflorescences. Very showy!
