Columnea sp. (Cordillera del Condor, EC)

Historically, this plant has been collected at least twice in the Cordillera del Condor on the (militarily-disputed) Ecuador-Peru border at between 1200 and 1500 meters elev. (mid-level cloud forests).

This species has semi-upright growths,  awesome flowers and spiky calyxes.  It seems to grow well, like so many things, when not overwatered. It is tolerant of cooler weather and takes kindly to pinching to encourage bushiness.
