Begonia xanthina is a stunning plant bearing medium-large leaves with heavy veining and texturing. In this form, "var. lazuli (Lind.) Hook. f ", the entire leaf is purple toned - providing a terrific backdrop for the showy, late season, yellow flowers.
Like the other forms of B. xanthina, this one seems to tolerate cooler weather but definitely growing best for me during warm months.
These are young plants, currently in 2-3" pot.
