This Begonia is an import and I'm not sure of its validity. It was received as B, fluorescens but that doesn't seem tone a valid name. I wish i knew more about it. I've only been growing it a year or so. So far, i suspect its a form of B. rubropunctata. These are seed-grown and their uniformity speaks to it being a true species. It's the name that I cannot yet vouch for. I will update this listing as more information comes to light.
I've so far been growing as an indoor / terrarium / greenhouse subject. It seems to be middle-of-the-road as far as ease of culture : not the most difficult, but also not the easiest. Foliage has a somewhat thin texture so it may not prove adaptable to lower humidity, even though it gets fairly good sized. Time will tell - now that enough plant material is available for experimentation. Nicely developing young plants in 2 1/2" pots.
