This plant, obtained as a Begonia luzhaiensis is another species out of China. Despite the fact that B. luzhaiensis is supposed to be a variable species, this see like such a departure from the other forms in cultivation that I truly wonder if it's something else, hence it's descriptor title vs formal identity.
It has responded well using the almost-closed terrarium type of culture that seems to suit so many similar rhizomatous species. I haven't, however, had spares of it to try different cultural techniques - so it may prove more adaptable.
Offered here as husky young plant in 2 1/2" pots.
