Begonia scapigera

Begonia scapigera is another of the compact, choice, varieties that can be found in this genus. It does very well in medium - larger sized terrariums.

it produces red-margined circular leaves on red-tinted stems. When flowering, it bears many brilliant yellow, almost jewel-like flowers on short stems around the base of the plant. Very showy.

They have a need for humidity so dictating this species is best grown under-glass. These are young, cutting-grown plants, currently in 2 1/2" pots.

Easy but demands high humidity.
