Begonia prismatocarpa is a delightful micro-miniature African species. Despite its liliputian size, it is freely flowering with very attractive buttercup-yellow flowers with reddish veining. It prefers warmth and thus it will perform best as a terrarium subject. Its so small that it will even perform beautifully within a "berry-bowl" type of setting (closed small glass container) and make an admirable coffee table accent. This variegated form is a delightful variation of the species. Along with all the positive traits exhibited by the regular form, this one adds a heavy dose of pink/white variegation. Despite the variegation, it is a strong and fast grower - as long as its kept humid and warm. These are nice Blooming size plants currently in 2" pots.
