This variation of Begonia pavonina bears foliage with a distinct purple tinge overall. It still exhibits a similar iridescence as for the species but it simply makes for a nice variation - grown together, they really compliment one another.
Begonia pavonina is a truly stunning Malaysian species but it needs to be grown correctly to really have it strut it's stuff! With the right nutrition, temperature, and light levels the foliage can be amazingly reflective iridescent - just like a Morpho Butterfly!
