Begonia baik is a stunning newcomer to the scene. Its' foliage is a deep maroon-green heavily overlaid with garnet red bristle-hairs. Flowers are stark white. The combined effect is quite jewel like. It is compact (mature height is less than 7") and forms a branching clump over time. It it native to damp sandstone regions of Sarawak (neutral to acidic medium).
It has a need for humidity so this species is best grown under-glass (terrarium).
Offered here as husky plants in 3" pots.
