This tuberous Begonia species is a newcomer from Vietnam, formally published in 2018. It is described as being found growing on granite surfaces.
As it is quite new to cultivation, my growing experience with it is somewhat limited. So far, however, it has responded well to terrarium type culture - but like so many of these cliff/crevice dwelling species, great care should be exercised to not overwater. While it likes humidity, its fairly thin leaf texture is susceptible to rots and fungus - so be sure to allow enough air to the terrarium as to prevent excess condensation.
Please keep in mind this is a tuberous species and as such it will expect a short drier rest at the end of its growing season. I treat it to a 8 week period with no water, but humidity is around 50-60%. Since it is leafless at that time, it doesn't matter if it is light or dark.
Offered here as an actively growing, blooming sized plant in 3" pot.
