Epidendrum porpax alba

$20.00

What sets this one apart is that it is an unusual alba form (no red pigment) of the normally maroon-green typical species color. The entire flower is apple green, the lip (labellum) is slightly deeper in color and so shiny as to appear wet.

Epidendrum porpax is widespread, known to range through much of Central and South America. It is a widely known and grown miniature species - not fussy and as long as it is provied enough light, it is a free and reliable blooomer.

Often grown mounted (as these are), it can also be grown in small pots. I prefer mounts as the compact mounding-rambling habit seems more at home that way. Due to it's wide range in nature, in cultivation it is forgiving of temperature variations and is quite adaptable.
