Achimenes erecta 'Tiny Red'

Achimemes erecta 'Tiny Red' is a small Achimenes species with an upright rather than a sprawling or cascading growth habit like so many of the others in thiis genus. It is prolific with its 1/2" brilliant red flowers. In addition, it's smaller stature makes it far more manageable in small spaces - enough so so that it is potentially even a spacious terrarium candidate! It makes a fine houseplant as well as a greenhouse and specimen! Like all Achimenes, these produce little rhizomes and have an easily managed seasonal rest.
